New Year's Eve concert - On a beautiful evening...

This year's anticipated New Year's Eve at the Krakow Opera will be a fascinating journey across the Atlantic, to the United States, the homeland of the musical, Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Georg Gershwin.
On a beautiful evening..., namely 31 December, we will say goodbye to the Old Year and welcome New with the Artists of the Krakow Opera, with whom we will go up to Time Square, listen to the great hit of Frank Sinatra New York, New York, we will come to Broadway with Cole Porter to ask Kate for a kiss, watch Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story and Candide. Coming back from the musical, we'll dance a Singing in the Rain along the way, and some may even dance all night!

The New World is not only the United States - we will go to South America to warm up in the hot Bachianas brasilieras by Heitor Villa-Lobos in the midst of the harsh Polish winter, to hum Besame mucho, to kindle the heart of Astor Piazzola's Libertango and to throw Argentina long, longing look together with Evita. All this will be possible thanks to the soloists of our stage: Katarzyna Oleś-Blach, Monika Korybalska, Adam Szerszeni, Michał Kutnik, Adam Sobierajski and Jarosław Bielecki, who will be accompanied by soloists of the Krakow Opera Ballet and the Orchestra conducted by Tomasz Tokarczyk.

According to the New Year's tradition, guests will be served refreshments (applies to concerts on 31/12/2019 and 01/01/2020), and the buffets will remain open until the last participant in the musical fun.
