What’s a good way of coping with the current situation? With Music Against the Virus! and Sinfonietta Cracovia. The orchestra has launched myriad online artistic and educational projects, with a main focus on virtual concerts. At 7pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the ensemble’s website and FB page present recordings taken in the last five years, including classical hits such as Ravel’s Bolero, Dvořák’s Serenade in E-Major for strings op. 22 and Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony, as well as a range of compositions by Krzysztof Penderecki, closely involved with the orchestra since its earliest days (including his Concertino per tromba e orchestra and Te Deum from The Polish Requiem). The cycle will soon resound with winning compositions of the International Composition Competition Sinfonietta per Sinfonietta, paying homage to Krzysztof Penderecki.
