Join us for concert by the legends of Saharan blues, Tamikrest! The Tuaregs are once again coming to Poland to bring us the desert sounds based on hypnotic guitar riffs.
Tamikrest serves as a musical bridge between Tuareg tradition and global influences they've encountered during their never-ending tours. Hailing from Kidal in northeastern Mali, fate led them into exile in Algeria due to war, persecution, and political crisis. In their music, they blend dub, blues, psychedelia, funk, and even art-rock, creating a compelling and poetic chronicle of their experiences. Their third album, "Chatma" (2013), received critical acclaim, topping various music magazine charts and earning them the Best Group award at the 2014 Songlines Music Awards. During the May concerts as part of the African Beats series, we will hear the best tracks from all their previous albums, including selections from their latest album "Tamotait."
