University New Year Concert 2020

The Jagiellonian University hosts its annual University New Year Concert on the first Sunday of January. Previous performances included stars such as Artur Andrus, MoCarta Group and Waldemar Malicki with the Filharmonia Dowcipu ensemble. The evening of 5 January at the Auditorium Maximum features Natasza Urbańska. The singer, dancer and film, theatre and musical actress has close ties with the Studio Buffo Theatre, where she made her debut aged just 16 in the acclaimed spectacle Metro. She performs a medley of some of the greatest hits of pop, film and theatre music. She is accompanied by a select ensemble and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, with special guest Michał Kaczmarek singing in a duet. The performance also features a spectacular light show and a display by a dance ensemble.
