Life on Stage
The family spent a large portion of the 1990s in the recording studio and performing live. The album Over the Hump sold almost five million copies, and the group’s popularity spread throughout Europe. The Kelly Family cannot be mistaken for any other band: the ragamuffin members of the large family wore their hair long, performed in handmade clothes and sang gentle ballads about their Catholic faith. After a few years at the top, family problems led to rifts in the group. They reformed in 2017, launching the album We Got Love and announcing a concert tour. Their performances were widely hailed, and on 14 February The Kelly Family make a welcome return to Tauron Arena Kraków. (Bartosz Suchecki, “Karnet”)
