World of Images

“I listen to Zimmer's music and I don't even have to shut my eyes. I can see the pictures” – the words were said by Ridley Scott, but the sentiment is surely felt by millions of cinema lovers all over the globe. Hans Zimmer has composed soundtracks for over 150 films and he revels in brand-new challenges: last year he wrote the music for the television intro of the FIFA World Cup in Russia and the soundtrack for the FIFA 19 video game. The German composer is also the music director and curator of the symphonic tour The World of Hans Zimmer, coming to Kraków on 17 March. During the concert at Tauron Arena Kraków, we will hear some of his best-loved compositions from films such as Gladiator and The Lion King. The stage will be filled by Zimmer’s friends and colleagues: the Australian vocalist and composer Lisa Gerrard, the Moldovan singer and operatic soloist Valentina Naforniță, the Serbian singer and composer Asja Kadrić and myriad acclaimed instrumentalists led by flautist Pedro Eustache and violinist Rusanda Panfili.
