Lust for Life

An apartment at the Ritz, Chanel jewellery and a gleaming limo – what more could you want? It turns out there’s plenty, and not because human greed knows no bounds. After all, we frequently wish ourselves or our friends boundless love, joy and wellbeing. Many of us search for those values in our everyday lives, but not so many can turn them into a radio hit. The French pop singer Zaz has managed just that. Her outgoing, direct attitude verging on playfulness expressed in the track Je veux captivated listeners in her native France, Austria, Germany and Poland. After a few successful years, the artist ponders the future in her track Qué vendrá: “I write my path/Without thinking, without thinking/Where it’s going to end.” Polish fans certainly hope that the path isn’t coming to an end any time soon, and – as if to answer their wishes – Zaz returns to Kraków.
