Earth Spirits
Her roots reach deep, deep down: they include blues and folk from the Mississippi Delta, gospel songs and spirituals from rural African-American communities and urban jazz and R&B. Lizz Wright explores all sources of inspiration from the rich seams of the Deep South where she grew up. She describes her vision and identity in her own musical language on her latest album Grace, which she brings to the concert at ICE Kraków on 4 April. The event, held as part of Jazz Chilli Days, also features hits from Lizz’s earlier albums including Salt and Dreaming Wide Awake.
