The 11th East-West Festival of Ukrainian Theatres

This year’s edition of the Festival is titled “Hardened”.
“We chose this headline due to the fact that among the participants, there are many groups forced by war to move to other cities in Ukraine or Poland. Despite this, they continue working and create new performances that they are going to showcase during the East-West Festival. We want to showcase how these people work, rest and pursue their artistic passions on a daily basis”, said Nadiya Moroz-Olshanska, founder of the Festival, in an interview with Karnet. The stages of the Groteska and KTO theatres will host more than 200 artists from 20 professional and amateur theatre groups from Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Germany and Armenia. The East-West Festival remains the only event in Europe showcasing Ukrainian theatre art.
