Bereś

Cricoteka recalls the life and work of Jerzy Bereś (1930–2012) – sculptor, activist and one of Poland’s most important avantgarde artists. The presentation marks the 60th anniversary of the first individual exhibition of Bereś’s works, organised on the initiative of the Kraków Group at the Krzysztofory Gallery; it includes sculptures from all periods of his work (from 1956 until 2012), archival films and video essays commenting on his performance art.
