A rapper from Toronto? Most hip-hop fans will immediately think of Drake, but there’s a new kid on the block! Khalim Tatem, better known as KILLY, decided to become a musician after hearing Kanye West’s Jesus Walks on the radio. He soon noticed that he shares his idol’s ability to convey real emotion in his sounds. He has also been inspired by Travis Scott, whose music gives the rapper a darker ambient tinge. Hot in the footsteps of the success of his single Killamonjaro and a collaboration with 16yearold, on 27 September KILLY comes to Kraków’s ZetPeTe to present material from this debut album Surrender Your Soul.
