Alexander McQueen, the British designer who revolutionised the world of fashion, used to say, “My shows are about sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll. It’s for the excitement and the goosebumps. I want heart attacks. I want ambulances.” The feature-length documentary McQueen (dir. Ian Bonhôte, Peter Ettedgui) opens in Polish cinemas on 20 July. The designer’s extraordinary sensitivity and energy launched him to the top of his profession, yet he suffered from depression and took his own life at the peak of his career. Will we discover new mysteries about his life?
Special screening organised by Pod Baranami Cinema.
