Cinematic Zoo
On 18 May, Agrafka Cinema hosts a Good Cinema Evening with animation in the starring role. We will see two films, including a pre-premiere screening. “Big Fish&Begonia” by the Chinese director Xuan Liang is a charming fairytale about Chun, a young girl living in a land filled with magical creatures. When she turns sixteen, she is transported to the human world where she must survive for seven days as a red dolphin. But the new reality is filled with danger and she is saved from certain death by a boy. He is tragically killed, so Chun decides to do everything she can to bring him back to life. The second animation is the multi-award winning “The Red Turtle” (dir. Michael Dudok de Wit) – a universal and poetic story of the rhythm of nature and the passing of time. The film is centred around a castaway and his adventures on a desert island, and a battle with the mysterious turtle. See you at Agrafka!
