What happens when graffiti abandons its original format, forgets standard assumptions and no longer follows its usual path? The exhibition Abstract Forum, opened in April at the Summer Pavilion of Forum Przestrzenie, presents works by artists whose style evades classical definitions of graffiti. Curators Łukasz Habiera “Nawer” and Maciej Malinowski have invited painters with roots in street art although their current work tends towards unbounded abstraction stripped of rules, key motifs and defined graphic forms. A second part of the exhibition opens on 22 July.
