September Streets

1 September 2020

This year’s ULICA Street Theatre Festival, organised by KTO Theatre and usually held in July, has been postponed to the very end of the summer. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that stilt-walkers, mimes, comics and actors who never shy away from exploring difficult subjects such as war and loneliness will captivate audiences once again with their performances in Kraków’s streets and squares. Thanks to the determina - tion of the organisers, events originally planned for March as part of the Cracow Fashion Week are finally happening in September. Capella Cracoviensis has prepared an extensive programme of concerts commemorating its 50th jubilee – congratulations! Mastercard Off Camera, the great celebration of independent cinema postponed from April, finally comes to our homes in a fully online format. The “Become a Visitor in Your Own City” campaign once again explores the hidden corners and small streets of the city – and we’re sure that Podgórze is your perfect September destination!

Wawel Royal Castle welcomes visitors to spend time in its chambers… to explore tents! The exhibition dedicated to the art of the Orient presents beautifully restored Turkish tents captured by King John III Sobieski during his successful Vienna campaign. The ICE Kraków Congress Centre hosts an exhibition prepared by the LueLue Gallery, showing nostalgic archival photos of Kraków. Finally, fans of old postcards can’t miss the exhibition of artworks by Adam Setkowicz held at Zwierzyniecki House.

Let’s go for a walk!
