Make the most of the summer’s charms: Cracovian Picnics and the New Boulev(Art) at the Nowa Huta Reservoir are in full swing, outdoor film screenings are held at unexpected venues across the city, the ParkoBus takes Cracovians on daytrips to far-flung green spaces, the Kurlandzki Boulevard boasts a brand-new urban beach…
It’s a month of picnics, chilling out, dancing, sampling tasty delicacies and spending time in the great outdoors, as well as a month of many events which can only happen in the summer. The heart of the city is filled with delicious aromas during the Pierogi Festival, while the latest Folk Art Fair presents arts and crafts from home and abroad. The Week of Polish Songs attracts fans of gentle, lyrical music, while the Cracovia Sacra Night showcases Kraków’s contributions to Europe’s cultural heritage. The “Music in Old Cracow” Festival has been showing for many years that classical music always finds perfect settings and enchants audiences. And the same can be said for pop music: the Kraków Live Festival attracts crowds of tens of thousands to the Polish Aviation Museum to enjoy international stars, this year headlined by Lana Del Rey.
