This picturesque former granary now serves an artistic purpose.
The permanent exhibition in the building of a 17th-century granary spans eight centuries of European painting and sculpture from the collection of the National Museum in Kraków, including paintings by Paolo Veneziano and Lorenzo Lotto, and sculptures by Bertel Thorvaldsen, Antonio Canova and Gustav Vigeland. Displayed here are also numerous Polonica, works of painting and sculpture of West European artists. The exhibition is complemented by regular exhibitions of art linked thematically to the museum collection. There are fragments of stone architectural details from famous Kraków sites in the lapidarium in the courtyard.
