Władysław Żeleński was a Polish composer, pianist, organist of St Mary’s Basilica, conductor, teacher. He initiated the establishing of the Conservatory of the Kraków Music Society which he managed until his death in 1921. The Kraków Philharmonic recalls the eminent persona in the music life of Kraków and the rebirth Poland in the 100th anniversary of artist’s death in a concert featuring his works, still too rarely performed in concert halls.
