The Krakow Festival Office, the organiser of the Early Music Day in Kraków, regrets to inform that the recital Sei solo. A violoncello on 21 March at St Martin's Church has been cancelled due to growing concerns related to the coronavirus outbreak.
Dear lovers of Italian trecento, trouvères and Minnesingers, ars subtilior, the Bourgundy school, Franco-Flemish polyphony, Venetian polychoral music, Fiorentine Camerata, da camera and da Chiesa sonatas, concerti grossi and Kunst der Fuge: we have a true celebration for you! On the Early Music Day on 21 March (and – by no coincidence – the birthday of J.S. Bach!), the entire continent celebrates our heritage of music dating back almost a millennium. The Kraków Festival Office presents a recital Sei solo. A violoncello by Agnieszka Oszańca at the Church of St. Martin, featuring a selection of Bach’s suites for cello. The concert is also a prelude of the Misteria Paschalia Festival in April, this year celebrating German music with a particular focus on the maestro from Leipzig.
