Great Little Cinema

Pod Baranami Cinema presents the Icelandic Cinema Review (2-5 March) – a perfect opportunity to discover the latest productions from the home of Björk and Sigur Rós. The unique blend of melancholy and dark humour is rapidly growing in popularity beyond Iceland. Acclaimed Icelandic productions include Grímur Hákonarson’s drama Rams, and Benedikt Erlingsson’s poetic Of Horses and Men and the eco-activism story of a conductor of a local choir who plans to sabotage the operations of an aluminium plant Woman at War. The festival also presents films previously unseen in Poland: Hlynur Pálmason’s study of grief and passing A White, White Day, and Grímur Hákonarson’s latest, deeply feminist production The County.
