The 11th Cracow Fashion Week, postponed from March due to the pandemic, is back after the summer! The competition presentations at ICE Kraków (7 September) feature debut designs by graduates from Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design (SAPU), while the evening gala includes the award-winning collection by Benita Klimbytė and shows by recent graduates Sandra Stachura, Kinga Kasińska, Oliwia Jankowska and Marta Pilas (entry by invitation). The programme also includes the traditional No Waste Show of environmentally-friendly fashion at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre (invitations via social media).
Collections by this year’s graduates are also shown at the photography exhibition at Forum Przestrzenie (1-15 September; no invitations required), while the presentation Focus on Fashion at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre (4-20 September) showcases the results of collaborations between fashion designers and photographers from the international community of SAPU. Finally, the presentation Youth on Fashion at the Solvay Contemporary Art Centre (from 10 September) introduces works by Pamela Porwen, graduate from the Faculty of Photography at Kraków Art Schools and winner of the nationwide “Portrait” photography competition 2017-2019; the artist’s works have been published in leading international fashion magazines.
