ENCHANTING FAIRYTALE
The Russian National Ballet has been captivating audiences the world over for thirty years. Founded during perestroika, it brought together graduates from great choreography schools in Perm, Moscow and St. Petersburg, with the first soloists recruited from the acclaimed Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow. This was largely thanks to the efforts of the founder and choreographer Sergey Radchenko, who worked with stars including one of the finest prima ballerina of modern times Maya Plisetskaya. Their interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s The Swan Lake is a perfect example of incredible dance technique and beauty in its purest form. The timeless fairytale about a princess enchanted into a swan comes to the Kraków Opera on 27 January.
