“Everyone describes photography as their passion, regardless whether it’s their profession or a hobby. They are joined by their desire to show the world in statu nascendi but from their own perspective. This makes our collective exhibition a multidimensional reflection of the lives and conditions of contemporary people,” write the organisers and participants in the Krakow Street Photo Festival (6-8 December). Events kick off on Friday night with a vernissage at the former Salt Warehouse, and the following two days are filled with workshops, lectures, discussions and guided walks. The exhibition of works by 21 authors of street and reportage photography is open until 6 January. The main exhibition is accompanied by presentations of works by individual authors. What will be the joint image created by the snaps of our lives filtered through the individual sensitivity of each photographer? (Dorota Dziunikowska, “Karnet” monthly)
