Karol Wójciak (1892-1969) – eccentric, raconteur, shepherd from the village of Lipnica Wielka at the foot of the Babia Góra hill – expressed his rich inner world by spinning fascinating tales, playing music and making art. The figurines of saints and angels he carved from firewood only found acclaim near the end of his life, and many sadly ended up in the stoves of local farmers… We will see the majority of preserved artworks by the “Oravian Nikifor” at the Ethnographic Museum exhibition Heródek at Esterka House.
