His films certainly fall in the category of being socially engage. The director never shies away from tackling difficult topics; he skilfully shows how problems faced by real people result from the current political situation, and his attention to detail means the stories he tells are authentic. The latest Cinema Good Evening at Agrafka Cinema focuses on films by the British director Ken Loach (15 November). We will see recent films awarded at international festivals: Sorry We Missed You telling the story of a family struggling to make ends meet in a post-industrial city in north England, and the critically-acclaimed I, Daniel Blake – a moving portrayal of an ageing, unemployed man who resolves to help a single mother of two children.
