Documentary World
The leading motif of this year’s Unsound festival is solidarity: a word with a vast range of meanings and understandings depending on context and geographical location. During the Unsound film section (6-13 October) at Pod Baranami Cinema we will see fascinating documentaries exploring the issues facing today’s world, and recalling the festival motto in myriad ways. Films include Hi, AI in which director Isabella Willinger explores relationships between humans and machines, the documentary Anthropocene: The Human Epoch investigating humankind’s destructive impact on the planet and narrated by Alicia Vikander, and Honeyland, an immersive documentary about one of Europe’s last wild-beekeepers in Macedonia. Poland is represented by Grzegorz Paprzycki's My Country, So Beautiful and Konrad Szołajski’s controversial The Good Change: Poles Apart.
