Holidays, oh, summer holidays… Lapping sea waves, fragrant hay, ice cream and of course the one and only sound of Summer with the Radio! The broadcast made its debut on Radio Channel One in 1971 as a tourist programme. The formula was quickly expanded: the project was joined by acclaimed journalists, unforgettable cycles and dozens of Polish hits. In the early 1990s, the event featured its first outdoor concerts, with new listeners joining with each coming year.

This year, the Summer with the Radio Festival brings its grand finale to Kraków. On 30 and 31 August, we will hear classic hits, premieres and surprises performed by Poland’s top stars, including Monika Brodka, Katarzyna Nosowska, Smolik/Kev Fox and Mazolewski/Porter duos, and the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra performing some of the greatest hits of film music. Concerts are accompanied by attractions held in music, family and relaxation zones, and of course live transmissions streamed from outdoor studios. Entry to all events free!
