The Vistula, once a major transport route serving Kraków’s trade and economy, is now mainly used for recreation. But does the city make the most of it? “Connections – The Town and the River” is a subject of this year’s International Biennale of Architecture Kraków 2019. Proposals for a new opening of the Old Town to the river have been submitted as concepts (architectural and urbanist competition), papers, presentations and manifestos (seminar competition) and designs prepared using still or video cameras (multimedia competition).
The results will be revealed over the course of two day congress at ICE Kraków (8-9 October, registration free).
