On 28 June, Kino Kika presents a pre-premiere screening of the documentary Pavarotti directed by the Oscar-winning Ron Howard.
The greatest tenor of all time was heard by Lady Di braving the pouring rain, the only singer to take his own food on tour, and the master of shifting the perception of opera as something elite into a popular genre. The film uses recordings from Luciano Pavarotti’s unforgettable performances, including classical pieces from the famous concert by the Three Tenors, previously unpublished archival materials and interviews with his family and friends.
