“When your soul is singing in joy, then you know you are doing it right.” So let’s head to the Main Market Square and listen to songs resounding during the finale of the 15th Festival of Enchanted Song on 15 June! They are performed by twelve soloists selected from thirty talented vocalists with disabilities. They will be joined on stage by artists including Ania Rusowicz, Olga Szomańska, Kuba Badach and Czesław Mozil. Winners of the music competition founded by the Anna Dymna Foundation are awarded Enchanted Bird statuettes and scholarships.
The festival runs in parallel with the 16th National Integration Day “Winning Despite Everything” (15-16 June). The Main Market Square welcomes sportspeople with disabilities who smash barriers and break new records every day. The organisers stress that the aim of both events it to “show that outside their health issues, people with disabilities are just as talented and determined as everyone”. (Anna Mazur)
