American scientists claim that books are best bought near waterways, for example rivers :). And so Kraków’s booksellers take to the Vistula, following the example set by their Parisian colleagues whose passion has earned them the status of UNESCO World Heritage. The second edition of Booksellers by the Vistula kicks off on 4 May and runs until 29 September. In good weather, Cracovian booksellers hold stalls on the roof of the Powiśle 11 Pavilion at the foot of Wawel Hill. They present classic Polish and world literature, academic works, albums and publications about Kraków.
