Dance Is Life
“Dance is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is no mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself,” goes the famous quote by Havelock Ellis. And the organisers of the international choreography competition 3…2…1…DANCE! certainly know it. Between 22 and 24 March, the stage of the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre presents short solos, duets and trios based on concepts and techniques of contemporary dance, assessed by jurors Anna Godowska, Agata Moląg, Israel Aloni and Assen Assenov. Events are accompanied by workshops led by Israel Aloni, acclaimed choreographer and performer. To finish, we will see a guest performance by students at the Faculty of Dance Theatre in Bytom presenting CPH4 choreographed by Jacek Łumiński.
