Don't Record, Just Play!
Their name may seem misleading to the uninitiated: they are neither sisters nor terribly merciful. In fact musicians from the acclaimed British goth band The Sisters of Mercy have a bit of a reputation for quarrels. To start with they argued amongst themselves, leading to a split in 1985 and a clash about the name. After the deep-voiced vocalist Andrew Eldritch took complete control over the band, they entered into a dispute with their label Time Warner, bringing their recording career to an end. Three decades later, Eldritch and his group continue to play live: they come to Kraków’s Studio on 7 October, where we will hear their classic hits and – hopefully – some brand-new material!
