His soundtracks to films such as Agnieszka Holland’s Europa Europa and The Secret Garden and Krzysztof Kieślowski The Double Life of Veronique and Three Colours Trilogy have brought Zbigniew Preisner worldwide acclaim. His star has been shining brightly ever since, earning him two César Awards, and he continues to write and search for new forms of expression. The special concert on 5 October marks forty years of his work.
Preisner's Music is a grand event held at Tauron Arena Kraków that brings together myriad of acclaimed guests, including Lisa Gerrard (best known as the incredible vocalist of Dead Can Dance), the Portuguese singer Teresa Salgueiro from the Madredeus ensemble, the theatre and musical actress Edyta Krzemień and the ensembles Sinfonia Varsovia and Cracow Singers. There will also be special guests Jerzy Trela and Anja Rubik.
