Christmas Carols For the City and the World

Carols make the best Christmas presents! Artists from Piwnica Pod Baranami have been giving each other Christmas carols for many years. Compositions by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz, Zygmunt Konieczny, Andrzej Zarycki, Zbigniew Preisne and Grzegorz Turnau make a sizeable collection, including songs about Christmas delicacies, shepherds’ prayers, wild Christmas Eve parties, people who are gone but not forgotten, and softly falling snow. We will hear a selection of the songs on 21 December at the Manggha Museum during the concert For the City and the World. “Let’s head to the manger, where we’ll present all our wishes, worries and joys in the best possible way: by singing!” say the artists.
