The Call of the Wild

They are no strangers to hard work: for many years they released their own albums and organised their own concerts. And don’t let the name mislead you – Screaming Females are actually two men and just one woman. The vocalist and guitarist Marissa Paternoster has enough energy to fuel a dozen bands, and together with her bandmates Mike Abbate (bass) and Jarrett Dougherty (drums) the group from New Brunswick in New Jersey is making a foray into the Old Continent. Invited by Front Row Heroes, they bring their punk energy and vigorous melodies to Kraków’s RE on 14 March. (Bartosz Suchecki, “Karnet”)
