Following the musical celebrations of Krzysztof Penderecki’s 85th birthday in September, the Kraków Philharmonic opens the brand new concert season with an event marking 125 years since the passing of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The orchestra and its artistic director Charles Olivieri-Munroe present the composer’s masterpiece Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor; they are joined by soloist Nikolai Demidenko acclaimed for his interpretations of works by his compatriots.
