At the Kraków Philharmonic, we are reminded that concerto as a music format is alive and well in the 21st century by a duo of Polish flautists. On 19 and 20 October, Łukasz and Agata Długosz perform Paweł Mykietyn’s Double Concerto for two flutes and symphonic orchestra, dedicated especially to the duo, with Olivieri-Munroe stepping up to the conductor’s pulpit. The piece premiered in Gdańsk two years ago, and soloists themselves can’t praise it enough! Let’s go to the concert! (Barbara Skowrońska)
