Feel It!

A renewed hope, a sense of unity, an experience of God’s love… Those in the know tell us that gospel is about far more than music. Although the roots of the genre reach back to the 17th century, its history in Poland is far more modest: the country’s first gospel choir was founded just twenty years ago. The latest 7xGospel Festival (11-21 October) is the perfect opportunity to strengthen these bonds! The motto of this year’s events, “Do you remember?”, encourages us to take a closer look at the good things around us. Whatever your age, you’ll be able to try your throat (!) during the workshops, ranging from Mamas & Papas sessions for toddlers and parents to Singing, Movement, Joy for seniors. If performing isn’t your thing, come along to listen to concerts showing off the results of the participants’ hard work. We start with the Evening of Worship at the Capuchin Church, while the festival culminates with a grand performance by participants in the main workshops: Kijów.Centrum presents a 300-strong choir led by guest instructors Ruth Waldron, Peter Francis and Peter Steinvig.
