Eva Rysová takes up the début poem by Ebba-Witt Brattström, a Swedish literature scientist and feminist, written after she divorced Horace Engdahl, former permanent member of the Nobel Committee.

The tale has two protagonists: her and him. They have been together for 30 years, brought up the children. They both enjoy successful professional lives and high positions in the society. They are the elite of Swedish culture. What would happen once the two have stepped on the war path, where words are weapons? Eva Rysová proposes an intimate, painful, but also ironic dissection of a loving relationship in its breakdown phase. A duel of caustic remarks, competition to be in the right, and acrobatics of feelings. Balancing between love and hatred. With violence against women and the demand for equal rights in the background. Who’s going to win that war between the sexes? “Century Love War” is another small-scale production of the director for the Łaźnia Nowa Theatre, following “Wieloryb The Globe”. The stage is graced by a phenomenal duo: Dominika Bednarczyk and Radosław Krzyżowski, privately a married couple.
