The exhibition presenting the work of the American printmaker Deborah Cornell – the double winner of the previous edition of the International Print Triennial in Krakow (Grand Prix and Grand Prix d'honneur) is an excellent link between the Main Exhibition of the International Print Trinnial 2018 and transgrafia. For years, Cornell has been masterfully using classical techniques, and in recent decades has bravely transcended the boundaries of a two-dimensional, static image using digital media, dynamically transforming the image, complementing it with sound and spatializing its work that takes on the graphic features of absolute space. Deborah Cornell invites the viewer to immerse in the extraordinary world of created and constantly transforming images, and the accompanying sound additionally reinforces the sense of absorption of the viewer through the stream of images.
