Romantic Fellas was created in 2015 on the initiative of Ignacy Matuszewski, a Krakow producer, pianist and composer. The voice of the band is Kuba Bugała, a vocalist from Krakow, a songwriter, who acts as a further away. The duet is complemented by: Jacek Długosz (guitarist, working with, among others, Adrian Utley and Beata Banasik), Justyn Małodobry (bassist, producer, founder Lennox Row and Astral Balloon, member Stanisław Słowiński Quartet and Gadabit) and Michał Pamuła (drummer, member of Balkanscream, TAU and Soflow).
Music created by Romantic Fellas can be described as an atmospheric, alternative pop with a subtle sound that results from the passion of the founder of the collective to analog synthesizers.
In the breaks between studio sessions and making clips musicians Romantic Fellas created loose songs, often deviating from each other stylistics or instrumentation. They locked them in the EP "Romantic hotel", which will be presented at a concert in Krakow. In these home-made productions, one can find a common denominator: the inspiration to create them was music straight from the hotel lobby and soundtracks oozing in American elevators.
EP consists of 4 songs, in which the band with a characteristic irony tells about the boy's adventures in love hotel, unfulfilled lover waiting for a call or accidentally in love with Cassanova. In the works, no no sound experiments - some vocals were recorded for an answering machine from the 90s, percussion foundations they generated cheap Casio keyboards and part of the part was mixed using cassette tapes.
"Romantic Hotel" is a unique journey through pastiche of "marketing music", full of energetic electronics, lyrical vocals and dance rhythms.
