Margot’s parents survived the Holocaust, though most of their relatives were killed. For a time, she made paintings about the Holocaust, and hid them in a drawer. Later on, she realized that they represented her parents’ feelings that had been hidden behind their silence. “In Memoriam” honors the suffering of both the victims and the traumatized survivors. Margot is grateful for the poignant opportunity to show her work in Krakow, where her mother lived and where she last saw her family before they perished.
Exhibition in programme of 28th Festival of Jewish Culture.
