Tadeusz Kantor referred to all the objects and costumes created for spectacles of the Cricot 2 theatre as sculptures. He saw them as independent things and stressed that their lives don’t end with the final performance. “They have enough inner tension and independent sense to become autonomous artworks,” he wrote as part of his reflections on art and how it does not succumb to divisions imposed by critics. We will learn about the links between these creations with other contemporary sculptures, their formats and impact on audiences at the new adaptation of the permanent exhibition Tadeusz Kantor. Episode Four. Sculpture at Cricoteka, providing a fresh look at the artist and dramatist’s work.
