After a year’s break (the Bunkier Sztuki gallery stepped down from hosting the post-competition exhibition last year), works awarded as part of the World Press Photo competition are presented at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre. The 60th anniversary competition in 2017 received 80,000 submissions from over five thousand photographers from 125 countries. Nowa Huta is the final stop along the route of last year’s post-competition exhibition. The presentation of almost 150 outstanding images inspired the centre to host a major celebration of photography: in February we will see a wide range of styles developed by Polish photographers with exhibitions of works by Wacław Wantuch, Ryszard Tatomir, Zdzisław Beksiński and the Kraków Photography Club.
