The Moscow City Ballet returns to Kraków with the best known love story of all time! Feuding families, the balcony scene, exchanges of secret messages, clandestine meetings and a tragic misunderstanding resulting in the lovers’ death – all the elements we know so well from Shakespeare’s tragedy have been set to music by Sergei Prokofiev. Although we won’t hear “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo”, the ballet version of the story, filled with arabesques, leaps and pirouettes, is as moving and enchanting as its literary original. Romeo and Juliet comes to ICE Kraków Congress Centre on 21 March – a ticket for the ballet version of the story of the star-crossed lovers from Verona, performed by the Russian ensemble, is a perfect opening of spring, the season for love!
