On 9 December, the Main Building of the National Museum in Kraków hosts the premiere of a brand-new adaptation of the first ever ballet based entirely on the folklore of the Podhale region: Karol Szymanowski’s Harnasie. His inspiration was a wedding, richly imbued in local traditions, as well as works by Stravinsky, especially his innovative rhythms.
