Lanckorona is a picturesque historical village close to Krakow that has always attracted artists due to its remarkable, magical and mysterious atmosphere. It’s there that Michal Augustyniak (guitarist, singer and composer, known for his project "Limboski") and Michael Jones (violinist and multi-instrumentalist known for "Wiedzmin", Max Klezmer Band amongst others) formed NAKED MIND and are working on its debut album. NM plays beautiful original melodies performed on instruments from around the world – Indian sitar and tabla, Ravanhatta- folk violin from Rajasthan, Moroccan Gimbri, African mbira, Tibetan singing bowls and gongs, and a 300 year old baroque viola, blend to form an exceptional symbiosis of sound. NM is also silence, movement, vibration, pulsation and white noise from Tibetan gongs and singing bowls. Add to this the rich timbre of Kargyraa and Sygyt throat singing, tribal african drumming and ephemeral improvisation for a unique and mystical sound.

NM simply means an empty mind – mind free from thought, interference or imagination. The Mind in direct contact with reality as it is – space, sound, vibration and silence. From this space NM explores regions and cultures where music is in dialogue with spirituality. NM is two artists living in a small village responding to our world’s global reality – disturbing military and cultural conflicts, ecological catastrophes, a rapidly changing world in which it is more and more difficult to predict any peaceful outcome...

NM is a non-verbal, conscious musical message full of harmony and good energy for the listener, in the context of a world threatened by chaos...
