FRUITY NUMBERS
Their music has recently come of age (they formed in 1999), and last year they recorded their 11th album. The Pineapple Thief’s latest release confirms their position as one of the most consistent and diligent bands of contemporary prog rock. Your Wilderness features collaborations with percussionist Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson), John Helliwell from Supertramp playing clarinet on Fend for Yourself, and Geoffrey Richardson (Caravan) with his string quartet. Their light, assured sound painting dazzling soundscapes and the album’s terrific narration all mean that the 41 minutes pass in a blink of an eye. The group come to Kraków to perform the album in full, adding new arrangements of some of their greatest hits. They will be joined on stage by Gavin Harrison and Darran Charles (Godsticks).
