Anna Dymna has always said that wrapping people with disabilities in cotton wool is damaging, and she practices what she preaches. The Poland-wide Integration Days initiated by the actress and her foundation show that competition is extremely important for people with physical disabilities by providing an energy boost and enabling them to live lives to the full.
On 3 June, the Main Market Square once again welcomes stars of sports such as wheelchair rugby, fencing, rowing, cycling, basketball, amputee football and skiing. There will also be the traditional volleyball match (players with disabilities vs. celebrities), followed by the opening of the 13th Festival of Enchanted Song and finale concert in the evening. As Czesław Mozil has said, “The festival makes it clear that what people really want to sing their hearts out.” And this applies both to the winners of the competition (there were 219 entrants, so they had to go through several rounds of eliminations!) and the artists accompanying them on stage. The concert held on Sunday 4 June, Only Love, also promises to be magical: Stanisława Celińska, Anna Maria Jopek, Natalia Kukulska, Joanna Kulig, Robert Janowski and Janusz Radek are accompanied by winners of the Festival of Enchanted Song from previous years.
